Photographer's Note
La Giralda is a tower that is part of the cathedral in Seville, Spain. It was the original minaret for the mosque that stood on the same site and was destroyed during the Catholic Reconquest of Spain. Although the mosque was destroyed, its minaret was preserved and incorporated into the cathedral built over the ruins of the mosque.
