Photographer's Note
Antequera, "a busy market town that was strategically important first as Roman Anticaria and later as a Moorish border fortress defending Granada." (Eye witness guide - Spain)
I have tried to discover the name of this particular church, as I didn't make a note of it when we were there, and I stand to be corrected if I am wrong, but I think that it is the Parish church of San Salvador.
My title? Well, you see a new terrace of modern houses, with the old church standing proud at the end of the square.
From just in front of the church there is a square that commands a great view across the countryside and the town below.
There are lots of things to see in this town.A hilltop castle, a municipal museum,plus a museum of bull fighting, amongst many other things.

A splendid view of the paved square with different architecture on each side . The drak green tree provide a good contrast to the clear tonalities . Fine soft light .

I like the architectural style of this church, I see some similarities to the Spanish era churches in the Philippines. Good lighting and nice details. Well done, tfs.

Hello Jean,
I like the almost square format and the superb sharpness and minimalist colours. Good framing and the warm honey brown colors of the bg buildings facade contrast nicely against the blue grey sky. Good lead in lines with the flagstone street and excellent repetition of the dark green poplar trees. Tfs.

who wouldn't like this post right?
what caught my attention was the placement of the Church on the left, as it sits deep into the frame, and the two strong color contrasts.

A wonderful photo of this beautiful Andalusian city, I know very well. You have captured a great POV, with the contrast of the church and the line of facades of houses so white, the floor gives a nice graphics, this set so theatrical.

Hi Jean,
Lovely square here. I like the elegant architecture of the church and the white houses across. The sky was cloudy but there is plenty of light and color.
Watching your photos I realized that I didn't explore the area well enough.
