Photographer's Note
I was stranded on El Hierro during a storm, and took the opportunity to snap some shots of the waves as they were breaking.
I´m aware about the tilted horizon which was caused by the scanning. Unfortunately I did not pay attention to it before posting. I was too preoccupied with receiving a good contrast and sharpness on the spray.
The shutter speed is probably 1/125 or 1/250 and the F-stop 3.5 or 5.6, unfortunately I cannot be more specific.

There is really power in this shot. The high contrast between the water and the rock makes it even more powerful.
There is just this little tilt of the horizon that needs to be corrected for sure.

Such a beatiful and dramatic shot! The dark sky and the white scum of the wave together with the black rocks makes a good picture however the horizon in the background is not straight but.... so what?

Great timing on your part to get the wave as it was breaking like that.

Pardonnable.

Very nice and exciting picture Frederic. Perhaps a little bit dark, but I am afraid the whites might explode otherwise and you may be right.. Best 1zzet Keribar
