‘Sevilla - Jardines de Murillo’


The Murillo Gardens cover an area of 8.500 m² and they run parallel to the gardens of the Real Alcázar.
But they are not at all as popular with tourists as these latter gardens.

Or maybe it was just siesta time when I took these pictures …? On the other hand, tourists don't have a siesta, only the local residents have and there was at least one gardener.

In the gardens you find a monument in honour of Christopher Columbus designed for the 1929 World's Fair.
However, without a statue of the navigator, but with a ship and a lion on top of the columns.
