Photographer's Note
An upward pov on the spiral staircase within the Ljubljana Castle. It leads to a rooftop terrace and lookout over the city. The castle was constructed in the 11th century but most of the current buildings date from the 16th and 17th centuries. More information here from wikipedia:

Hello Chris,
The site is still not back to normal.
It is impossible to look at the photographs of your favourites, they all need to be researched individually!
This is so unlike the staircases of most castles!
However, it is very well composed, the centre being strongly placed, with posts radiating, as if rays from the sun!

J'aime beaucoup le petit côté très éclaté de cette composition. La contre plongée est spectaculaire et les vitrines sur le ciel sont spectaculaires.

An interesting photo of a staircase, quite different from most such pictures as it doesn't show the actual steps so clearly. Instead we get a very attractive view of the general structure of the staircase with very attractive red, blue and white details and an excellent light.

Quite a mind blowing, dizzy stuff with the spokes and spirals emanating from the top circle at a third. Well managed exposure getting in all the levels and fine details combination with lovely touch of warm tones and range of colours. A very eye-catching rendition of this wonderful pattern. Great work

its hard to even make out the shapes and stairs, i guess its because we're underneath looking UP. It takes a moment or two to realize it and figure it all out. awesome verticals and lines, cool post my friend. cheers
