Photographer's Note

This is Piran, the most beautiful town on Slovenian coast, although they are just three. The Municipality of Piran is renowned as the most touristically developed municipality in Slovenia. The archives reflect a rich historical tradition that reaches back to the Roman Empire. It is elieved that the first walls were built in the 7th century, extended in the 12th century, and achieved their present appearance in the 16th century as protection against Turkish raiders. In Piran it was lived one of the greatest Middle-Ages violinist and great composer Giuseppe Tartini.
The pic was shoted from the fortress on the cliff above the town. Its very clear, because the strong north-est wind was blowing, more famous under the name Bora. On the strong autumn light I have set the exposure time on 1/800 sec and I open the lens on f/4.5. From the fortress, on the other side of the bay in clear atmosphere, it could be seen even the Venice, that from Piran on the road its 200 km far away.
