Lake Bled
Lake Bled is a lake in the Julian Alps of the Upper Carniolan region of northwestern Slovenia, where it adjoins the town of Bled. The area is a tourist destination. The lake is 35 km (22 mi) from Ljubljana International Airport and 55 km (34 mi) from the capital city, Ljubljana.
Bled Island
The lake surrounds Bled Island (Blejski otok). The island has several buildings, the main one being the pilgrimage church dedicated to the Assumption of Mary (Cerkev Marijinega vnebovzetja), built in its current form near the end of the 17th century, and decorated with remains of Gothic frescos from around 1470 in the presbyterium and rich Baroque equipment.The church has a 52 m (171 ft) tower and there is a Baroque stairway from 1655 with 99 stone steps leading up to the building. The church is frequently visited and weddings are held there regularly. Traditionally it is considered good luck for the groom to carry his bride up the steps on the day of their wedding before ringing the bell and making a wish inside the church.

Hello Danos,
I have heard of the beauty of Lake Bled before and surely the deep colours of the water and the exquisite reflection are what attract the eye initially.
The two 'crafts' are sharp and very well balanced in the frame, creating the action to this lbeautiful setting.

This is an amusing photo. We don't see so much of the beautiful surroundings, but you made a good observation of this meeting between the tourist boat and the persons standing on the kayak and you timed the photo perfectly. It's a delightful daily life snapshot.

Hello Danos,
Lake Bled did not disappoint when I visited it last year. Good sharpness, color and framing. Rather than go around the lake by boat I elected to walk right around the lake instead. It looks especially beautiful in Autumn. Tfs!

Cruising in opposite directions, but gave a good motion-scale to the scene. Wonderfull colors and shining reflection upon water.

C'est bien vrai qu'il y a quelque chose de romantique dans cette composition.J'aime l'homme qui pagaie dans l'ombre mais aussi le groupe de touristes sur le fleuve dans la lumière.

A great view over the calm water of the lake. Your timing was perfect, so we can see two different types of water transportation. The reflections in the water are appealing too and you had the best of sunlights here. Very well done!

Luz interessante, no fundo ela é mais presente e no primeiro plano ela é mais fraca. Os reflexos na água, que possui uma boa textura, estão bons. Boas cores e enquadramento.
