Photographer's Note

The chalet below the Rysy peak (Chata pod Rysmi, 2250 m) has the highest elevation from the chalets in the High Tatras. It is located in the heart of High Tatras on the slope of the main ridge. From there runs the last hop of a frequently used path leading to the Rysy peak (highest point of Poland, 2499 m).
In the chalet everyone can enjoy hot meal as well as spend a night on the second floor under the roof (10 euro per night). Food and coal (for heating and cooking) as well as beer barrels :) on this height from Popradske lake (last point can be reached by car) are brought by carriers (employees of National park or volunteers). In special place near Popradske pleso (lake) where trail to Rysy starts everyone going to chalet below Rysy can take already prepared bags with food and coal or backpck with bottles and barrels. Those who brought it to the chalet will be rewarded: for bag - free cap of tea, for backpack - free lunch or dinner with shot of local liqueur or even free stay overnight.
