Photographer's Note

Place of pilgrimage and a church on the Mount Marianske (Mariánská Hora - 491 m above sea level) is located directly on the main European watershed. On the left of the church roof gutter water that flows into rivers; Èermenka, Cicha Orlica and the Elbe, which flows into the North Sea, on the right and flows into rivers; Moravska Sázava, Morava and Danube, which belongs to the Black Sea basin.

On the Mount Marianske of the eighteenth century, there were meetings of pilgrims traveling to Maria-Zell in Austria. The history of the pilgrimage dates back to 1814, when the coachman A. Keprta load carrying millstones way. On the muddy road and rolled the car driver was trapped beneath him. When I asked Mary for help, he appeared radiant woman who helped him. Grateful coachman had in this place on a wooden pole to hang a picture of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the frame.

In 1864 the chapel was built, and in 1875 years the church standing today, preserved in the interior of the chapel. In 1886, the church was built 14 stations of the Cross and the avenue was planted lime trees.
