Photographer's Note
The Bâlea Lake is a glacier lake situated at 2034 m of altitude in the Făgăraş Mountains, in central Romania, in Sibiu County. There are two chalets opened all the year round, a meteorological station and a mountain rescue (Salvamont) station. It is accessible by car on the Transfăgărăşan road during the summer, and the rest of the year by a cable car from the "Bâlea Cascadă" chalet.
In 2006, the first ice hotel in Eastern Europe was built in the vicinity of the lake.

ce culori! parca e peisaj de pe alta planeta :) - de o frumusete stranie - suprafata aproape metalizata a apei (multumita expunerii si folosirii trepiedului) e de milioane ... nice work! (cred ca un print de dimensiune mare ar fi foarte reusit)

Hi Filip,
Very nice .. I love the exposure on the water .. the tone of the sky .. the sense of dimension in the blackness .. wonderful vast empty place broken by a small bit of human presence .. that gives a nice sense of scale.

Nice to see the result of that long exposure. Amazing, beautiful colors and powerful serene feeling. I very much like the space you gave to the water and sky in this composition.
