Photographer's Note
A view of the floodlit Metropolitan Cathedral from my hotel window in Timisoara. It looks less impressive in daylight hours but very nice in the evening. It was opened in 1946 and the tower seen here is 90.5 metres (297 ft).

Hello Chris,
I don't know what those things to the right are, but they look like a collection of modern sculptures placed on a roof for some reason. In any case they provide quite an interesting contrast the the illuminated traditional details of the cathedral. The blue hour sky is a perfect backdrop to the entire scene.

Bonjour Chris,
Les antennes sont de trop mais elles font partie du paysage. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails du clocher. La lumière de l'heure bleue a un effet spécial sur les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

Hi Chris,
It is actually quite funny to see these cathedral towers next to telecommunications technology. Illumination is just perfect and golden tones make a great combination with dark blue sky.

Hi Chris,
Beautiful blue houe effect. The tower appears as if made of gold when set against the blue hour sky here. There seem to be a lot of antennas next to it which contrast with the traditional tower.

This tower, glowing like a beacon, makes a stunning focal image against the gathering, night sky!
The other features are very useful for the sense of depth and in no way distract from the main tower.
