Photographer's Note

A Fiat 500 (classic , 70's old style) prepared for hill climb racing in Brasov,Romania. Here seen after the race, curious visitors are allowed to get near and photograph the machines as they make prolonged pit-stops between race legs. This little device jokingly called "the Atomic Flea" is particularly impressive as a relatively high powered engine improves its agility considerably because of its small mass.It is equipped with a ground plate for ground effect and a diffuser for increased stability . Also note the large radiator fitted to the front (the regular 500 is rear engine with rear axle drive)and the nice aerodynamic solution to house it in an inclined air scoop integrated with the original bodywork. rnA short technical note: the camera is the travel compact Sony Hx60- after the zoom lens barrel repair. It has recovered nicely and now there is no more distortion and focus problems are also gone.Still have to be careful though , the entire zoom lens assembly costs almost as much as a new one (but strangely I feel attached to good gear so I got it fixed).
