Photographer's Note
The Dormition of the Theotokos Cathedral (Romanian: Catedrala Adormirea Maicii Domnului) is the most famous Romanian Orthodox church of Cluj-Napoca. Built in a Romanian Brâncovenesc style, a synthesis of Renaissance and Byzantine architecture, it lies on the Avram Iancu Square, together with the Cluj-Napoca National Theatre .
The cathedral was built between 1923 and 1933, after the Union of Transylvania with the Romanian Old Kingdom. The project of the cathedral was developed by the architects George Cristinel and Constantin Pomponiu. On 5 November 1933 the Cathedral was officially opened by Miron Cristea, the Patriarch of All Romania.

Despite the shaded side upon the cathedral facade, Piotr, managed a good view from street level with part of the fountain in front and up to the dome and its "sattelite" smaller domes

Piotr, this splendid cathedral is crowned by bulbous dome with grey roofs. A fountain is located in the square in front of the monument. Fine colors, good sharpness, instructive photo note, regards.

Hello Piotr,
The attractive cathedral is well placed between the fountain and the trees. The sharpness is perfect. There is a fine light shining on the man in front of the tree to the left, whereas those below the steps have become fine silhouettes. I believe the very tall priest is a statue- ;-)

Good Morning Piotr,
This is a very beautiful building, with fine proportions to the domes, nicely illuminated against the sky.
I like how well you have fitted it into the frame, with just enough inclusion of the trees and the fountain jets to prevent it having a stark appearance.

Czesc Piotr,
piekna katedra. Bardzo stylowa i tak rozniaca sie od architektury ktora zobaczyc mozna w Polsce.
Przyjemny wzor chmur na niebie. Swiatlo nielatwe ale przynajmniej czesc architektury jest przyjemnie oswietlona.
To byl najwyrazniej bardzo udany fotograficznie rok dla Ciebie. Zycze zeby obecny byl nie mniej bogaty!
