Photographer's Note

Throughout its history, from the 4th century to this day, Romania has been somewhat of a mixture between West and East. Not fully western, but also not entirely absorbed by the Eastern(Oriental) culture, the two romanian principalities of Moldova and Wallachia have been the site of some interesting but also of other less fortunate mixtures.

The best known of the "good ones" ist the Brancovenesc architectural style, a micture of Venetian and Byzantine with local elements.
