Photographer's Note

Coronavirus made all our lives a mess. Supposed to go to the seaside but can't travel much? Find your inner sea... mine is a large lake close to home, Mill's Lake (Lacul Morii) in Bucharest. A nice sundown with some God Rays (TM) to set the mood, and I could swear the water smelled salty...
God Rays are the light(and necessarily dark too) rays that form from the Sun when it is partially obstructed by clouds but the atmosphere is saturated with dust or the angle of light is such that light is partially polarized. This makes light distribution visible.
A technical note : I am guilty of phone-o-graphy with this one, a Samsung A70 did this.Small sensors and ones with high pixel density and small pixel size built in CMOS technology (that's most of the sensors on the market today except a few excellent, really expensive or special purpose ones)are susceptible to pixel saturation with reversal - that is , dark halos or stripes around very bright areas. It's the technology that does that- here this defect really helps bring out the God Rays that were there but did not look so dramatic..
A short meditation at the end of the day, the sea is where you find it, there it is, inner sea..
