Photographer's Note
A voyage from Hot Small River Beach to Hot Springs Beach in the antipodes, taking the direct path, the center of the Earth trail
There are several hot springs (1) along the 1000 km long Azores shoreline.
But this is the only place where they stand right on the sand.
The easternmost beach of the Azorean Riviera is also the only subtropical sandy "Hot Springs Beach" in the northern hemisphere.
The town is named after a small river which ends nearby a 5 km warm water journey that begun at the World's Hydropolis (2), the beach is named after just one of the four elements, although worldwide there is only one more subtropical sandy beach with hot springs (3).
Notes
1- A hot spring is a natural spring with water temperature above body temperature, i.e. above 36.7°C.
2- In the 37° parallel, the Hydropolis of the World, Furnas, is home to 32 very different mineral water springs, including hot springs, medicinal springs and natural sparkling water springs.
3 - In New Zealand's Coromandel Peninsula, a coast which happens to be also part of the list of the world's mildest climates.
This time the name of the beach is obvious.

Olá Ilena,
Uma fotografia muito apropriada a um large view, composição com cores naturais muito bonitas. O POV é apertado mas com bom visual.
Uma boa nota descritiva do tema.
