Hi Filipe!

This must be one of the most impressive villages of the world. I remember that incredible photo with the rock on the roof of a house. This one is excellent too! Great composition, brilliant colours, perfect sharpness and contrast, and an amazing sky as the cherry of the pie. Congratulations!

Incredible place and incredible shot! The quality of the image is excellent, the light, the sharpness, very natural (some times, although PP can transform in very nicely certain colors, I like to see images a bit more natural, like this one). The place is so interesting...all rock, little windows, the cross in the street,...very unusual... And the sky is gorgeous... Great shot!

Ola Filipe, I really like the textures and the saturated colours of the building and yhe old cobbelstone road here, together with the contrast with the sky, the effect is almost 3D. The compo is very well chosen with the wall swerving our eye into the picture. Very nice work.

¿Que tal estás?
Me gusta mucho esta foto por dos cosas:
1º Por lo interesante del lugar, con esas construcciones hechas de iedra sobre piedra acoplandose a las dificultades del terreno e integrandose en el paisaje sin a penas romper la continuidad ambiental del mismo. Parece como si esas casas estuviesen ahí desde toda la vida, al mismo tiempo que las grandes rocas que las soporta.
2º Los colores y tonos que se pueden conseguir en un día de lluvia, no tienen comparación con ningún otro tipo de color en fotografía (a mi modo de ver) pues aportan un toque de dramatismo a la escena difícil de lograr de otra manera.
En este caso además tuviste la suerte de pillar un cielo azul y con nubes, en vez de uno gris que es lo más normal en estos días lluviosos.
Un excelente trabajo amigo, un saludo.

Nice composition, but really amazing colors. What did you do to get so much saturation? (I usually underexpose by half a stop just to help avoid washing anything out, and I've found that tends to increase the saturation)

Esta foto está muito original pois na minha opinião o cinzento granítico das pedras da casa tem uma certa combinação com as nuvens cinzentas apanhadas no céu! Também gosto da ténue luminosidade que se faz notar na parte mais verdejante e cimeira do musgo e da parte mais alta da casa.

Hello Filipe! This image is so interesting it almost seems surreal. It definitely has a 3-dimensional quality to it. I think part of it is the angle of the wall leading the eye into the frame and creating a sense of depth. The sharpness is quite good. The contrast of the greens and blues against the gray granites really add to the splendeur.

Olá Filipe, cada nova imagem que nos mostras deste local mágico, voltas a surpreender-me. Tenho mesmo que arranjar maneira de vir aqui um dia. Que imagem incrível - devias vender isto para uma revista. Mais parece tirada da imaginação de um escritor de histórias do imaginário do Senhor dos Anéis. Simplesmente deliciosa!

uma prova q nao é a maquina q faz o fotografo. Para uma maquina deste nivel de preço, embora, tendo pelo q me parece bastante ediçao em photoshop, uma qualidade notavel de uma fotografia belissima. Excelente perspectiva, brilho, cor, tudo na perfeiçao. Os meus parabens!

POV, shades, colour, atmosphere, just great!!!

Although I have one question:
the sky must be taken from another photograph hasn't it?

Don't get me wrong, I like the final result, it fits like glove, but my post processing skills and experience tells me that the front part has different lighting from the sky.

I could be wrong though :)

Monsanto no seu melhor. Captaste muito bem uma das caracteristicas desta vila que é o aproveitamento das rochas existentes para edificar.

the constrast in the foreground is just amazing
however the sky is maybe to dark and so the contrast between sky and rock is not very beautiful.

Hi Filipe,
incredible processing here. I like very much the vivid colors and in spite of the limited light -great luminosity. The processing enhanced not only the fantastic sky here, also the texture of the walls was emphasized and together with the interesting color it creates an interesting atmosphere here.
I have almost a 3D feeling looking at the photo and yet everything seems perfectly normal and natural.

This must be a great village to visit, an invaluable part of your heritage !
Excellent photo with the grey stones contrasting so well with the green of the moss and the blue of the sky !
I also like the composition with the winding path going up through the dwellings, and the cross in the curve which blends so well in the picture that it's hard to detect.
