Hello Gert,
An interesting daily life composition and a fine array of characters whose back-stories we can invent for ourselves. The church doorway with the framing Saintly statues in their niches makes a great backdrop. Excellent technical realisation. A well taken photo opportunity.

Hello Gert and many thanks for the critique just written on mine.
The entrance to this impressive church is well shown under the shadows of the big edifice, and enliven by the by-passers, one girl and one man in the doorstep.
The wooden heavy door has wonderfully carved artwork, and two statues on sides mounted on the wall that by itself decorated from (probably) earlier era.

The WS added on the street view is a nice and fun capture, I'd even dare and post as a main photo later, IMHO.

Hello Gert,
An excellent photo with the daily street life very well included in the foreground. The people are nicely spread out across the composition with the two white statue of the saints hovering above them all. The blue/purplish tones of the people's clothes create a nice contrast with the grey church.

Hello Gert,
This is a fabulous entry to the church, photographed very nicely. You could alternately have called the photo 2 Dead, 4 Living People. Or you could just concentrate on the living: 3 Healthy and 1 Sniffling Persons. The possibilities are endless...

A very good picture of the scene in front of the church, when I was in Italy two years ago, policemen were standing in front of every church for fear of terrorists. In your photo you showed a normal life, without guards and police, and I like the picture in the WS because it has many interesting and unusual elements

Dear Gert,

Apart from the title sounds like a Guy Ritchie movie, it is a well-composed photo, where the girl serves as a counter-part to the 'flow' of men who looks to the right side of the picture. The saints are just sitting their. They have already seen enough I guess.

Hello Gert,
We get a close and very sharp view of the decorations on the entrance door and on the facade of the church.
Even a part of the pavement is nicely decorated as on so many places in Portugal.
Regarding the picture with the shirt of the man matching the colours of the azulejos: In Portugal I've never seen a shirt with azulejos as design ... I don't know if such shirts exist but it could be an interesting commercial idea.

Just an ordinary scene in front of a church in Porto, but a scene that shows so many aspects of life, the young girl represents the future, the businessman the present state of live with the tourist as oposite way and the beggar represents the despair of our society.

A nice series of photos in the theme "looking for mathematical sequence". I would expect that it was certainly just as difficult to get these perfect numbers in one picture also compositionally all together in exactly the right place than a situation with only the man with his cap in his hand.

Gert, splendid church entrance embellished by two sculptures representing saints. The massive wooden door sticks out with its beautiful patterns. The characters enliven the picture, all are here for different purposes. The tourist on the right contrasts with the passer-by on the left and the man standing at the door.
