Good to see your first post! You had a good view from the ship. It was taken soon - it was still cloudy by this time but the sunlight was coming for a really hot day.
It was a really good day and it was great to meet you all. Hope you enjoyed the rest of the vacation!

Dear Bulent Bey,

I believe one of the most distinctive features of TE is the ability of its members to meet in different locations, to share common zeals and hobbies, to interact face to face with the people they have known for years over the Internet.

Lisbon surely seems to be an interesting place to visit.

Merhaba Sayın Hocam, Lizbon gezinizin çok renkli geçmiş olduğu Workshop'daki fotoğraftan da gayet iyi belli oluyor. Keşke ben de orada olsaydım. Yaz mevsimi için ilginç bir şekilde kapalı havaya denk gelmişsiniz. Oysa Lizbon Avrupa'nın en fazla güneş ışığı alan başkentidir.

Fotoğrafta görünen bölge, limanın da bulunduğu Santa Apalonia bölgesi. Buralar çok eski, biraz da bakımsız kalan yerler. Arka planda yükselen Pantheon'un içinde Amalia Rodrigues başta olmak üzere birçok ünlü Portekizli simanın mozoleleri bulunuyor.

Başka fotoğraflarınızı da bekleriz.

TE te torununuzla çıkacağınız cruise gemi seyahatinizi okumuştum,özellikle Portekiz karelerinizi merak ediyordum.3 ay önce bu tepelerden baktım hep tajo ırmağına ve cruise gemilere,oradan görünüş se çok sürprizli,heyecanlı ve güzel geldi sabah sabah.WS taki babaanne- toruna bayıldım,allah nazardan sakınsın,çok hoş zarif ler her ikiside.Diğer Portekiz karelerinizi sıklıkla vede ws larla dolu bekliyoruz.Size ve Carol Jean'a çok selam ve saygılarımla.

des lumières très spécviales sur Lisbonne, mais très douces aussi, laissant toutefois voir les moindres détails architecturaux.

A wonderful panorama of the city of Lisbon in a POV that shows many of its charms, that beautiful ideal sky with dark clouds that add beauty and drama, I like the soft light that gives the dark sky, good colors.

what a wonderful view of Lisbon! You have managed in an excellent way the light, really hard, getting interesting detail even in the shadow areas. Also perfect the sharpness, especially in the more distant buildings. I am happy about your mini-meeting with dear Portuguese friends (thanks for the WS), this is one of the most important and pleasant missions of TE :-)

I usually love the clear blue sky, no doubdt. But a similar sky adds more dramatic senses. Sometime the bad weather gives very interesting topics.

i see that your fortnight in Europe was constructive,especially with the mini-TE meeting with the three TE friends.You know with the Jose and his family met in Athens three years ago,enjoying our stroll in Athens.
Lovely panoramic shot of this part of Lisbon with the moody sky and the crowned hilltop to makes the scene more effective.

Beside the interesting city scape I like especially the composition where the water and the sky with impressive clouds divide the picture into three horizontal parts thus increasing the effect of the play of lights and shadows on the city. Observing the POV I am surprised: it must have been a unique experience getting a first look from different cities from as high as the roof of a big house!

P.S.: I respect your creative freedom (finally the picture is a product of the free and intuitive photographer rather than that of the spiritless camera) therefore I do not criticize any technical detail here. I only remark that I would have corrected it as in the WS.

during your stay in Portugal, my interest was big for Portugal gallery in TE. Because that country is honor guest in Belgrade's Book fair in October. I am so glad that you visited Europe and hope see you one day in Belgrade. Since to Paololg you are very friend and big person.

I like this panoramic view with the partly sunshine. If you have the shot with the church illuminated by sun, it should be perfect. Question of symbols.

I'll have a trip to Portugal next week to participate, as the winner for Italy, the award of a photographic European competition. I will visit Almeda and Lisbon; so I can see with my own eyes the beauty of this city you have proposed in this magnificent picture.
I think that you have had a great trip in Europe... and to choose and manage a lot of pictures is a very difficult job... (from my trip in Romania I returned with 3.500 pictures: I also have a hard job to do and little time to devote to it).

I hope that the earthquake and the hurricane have not caused damage to you and your family.

Hello Bulent,

You're capturing well cityscape by a good angle, so it's impressive and interesting to see a lot of houses and buildings with colorful walls standing the hill of city. And, thick clouds covering the sky give a wet atmosphere for the whole.

A very beautiful blue hour shot, or at lest it could be the blue hour. Superb colour hues, the silhouette of Lisbon still has some light spots, what makes the shot more lively. I like the POV very much. Well done.

I have tried to make 'Sailing into Lisbon" a little more attractive and to bring out the details of your already great shot.

Also,the backdrop of the drak clouds that you ave chosen makes it a great composition.
