Photographer's Note

The King-Christ is 50 years old today and celebrates the half century of life with ceremonies that extends for the next week-end. The program of celebration this Saturday highlights the trail of vessels of Image of Our Lady from Praça do Comércio, in Lisbon, to the south margin. Sunday afternoon, is scheduled a celebration presided by the special envoy to Pope Benedict XVI, Cardinal D. José Saraiva Martins.
250 thousand people are expected at the monument.
The monument at Almada was built to thank God, for
Portugal has been spared in World War II. The first stone was released in 1949. Ten years after the work was completed and opened. The monument receives 500 thousand visitors per year.
Last year I went to the King Khrist monument and shoot some pictures. Below are the links to the ones I have published. Also 2 WS. Hope you like them all.
