Somewhere in Alfama, where the tilt is a natural element of the architecture. Like Roma, Lisboa is often called "city of 7 hills". Alfama is the highest hill of the city. The irregular curves of the architecture has been further strengthened by the earthquake of 1755, whose tracks are often visible in Alfama.

No i fajne, bo takie naturalne. Przypomina mi poza tym zdjęcia śląskich dzieci (mam takie gdzieś głęboko w szufaldzie - oczywiście nie moje) - takie jeszcze sprzed wojny.

Good morning Grazyna,
This is an interesting and informative, yet graphical documentary image. The contrast and point of view make it an intense exercise in deciding what is real, how it became to be and what effect it may have on the people who live in this environment. This child looks like he is standing to compensate at all times with one shoulder higher than the other, maybe one leg longer than the other.
Really wonderful photo that made me think.

bonjour Grazyna, sans doute il doit y avoir de nombreux quartiers dans ce style à Lisbonne?, je trouve dommage que l'enfant soit statique, mais une bonne étude de société;

Une image réaliste de ce quartier de Lisbonne tel que je l'ai vu lorsque j'y suis allé il y a une dizaine d'années; cependant une partie était en rénovation et quelques magasins pour touriste faisaient leur apparition...
Je constate que la quartier est resté immobile, comme l'enfant photographié.
Une image pleine d'humanité.

Powiedzialabym, ze to lata 50te, ze wyjelas to zdjecie z albumu rodzicow , zeskanowalas i puscilas w obieg.
Rewelka.
Obraz piekny, choc smutny, przynajmniej ja tak go odbieram. Moze dlatego, ze nigdy nie bylam w Portugalii i nie umiem sobie wyobrazic tego miejsca inaczej, w kolorze.
Bardzo do mnie przemawia taka miekka wersja obrobki.
Tego jeszcze nie umiem.

Iza ma racje - i mnie się przypomniał film Benniniego.
Zawsze szukałam uzasadnienie dla zastosowania tiltu i jakoś tak mi wychodzi, ze w tilcie jeden element powinien być pionowy/poziomy... I tu właśnie coś takiego mamy. I fajnie pogubić się można ;))

Not only Roma and Lisboa, Istanbul is also "the city of seven hills", and such tilts are a daily life issue also in our lives. a good composite of the surroundings and the kid, as the surroundings really look like surrounding the kid :)

Hi Grazyna,
The tilt suits the winding narrow and awkwardly beautiful streets of Alfama, an area I wandered for two days when in Lisboa.
This image summarises the feeling of Alfama for me, rustic and timeless, a little rough but always beguiling and the people were so interesting and friendly. I always felt like the buildings were going to fall over each other, the narrow lanes just holding it all together...beautiful place.
This shot is a timeless style.
