A view of the Douro river -- the home of Port wine -- as it winds its way through the northern region of Portugal, near the nation's second city of Porto. The Douro River is the third largest river of the Iberian peninsula where wine-making dates back to the Western Roman Empire. It has been noted as a World Heritage Site since the year 2001.
