The Czorsztyn castle is located on rocky raising, poured on the peninsula with water of the lake Czorsztynskie. To filling the time of artificial container was excelling the Dunajec valley.
Around of year 1350 Big Kazimierz striving for safety of the limit with Hungarians issued the absolutely sure castle. The castle was the centre of the royalty and the office of foremen appointed perpetually in the next centuries. Ancient chronicles are reminiscing about transport and sovereigns' stays.
