7th Bastion of the Fortress - The only fully preserved bastion.
Zamo¶æ pronounced is a city in southeastern Poland, situated in the southern part of Lublin Voivodeship (since 1999), about 90 km from Lublin, 247 km from Warsaw and 60 km from the border with Ukraine.
The historical centre of Zamo¶æ was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1992, following a decision of the sixteenth ordinary session of the World Heritage Committee, held between 7 and 14 December 1992 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, United States. As described by UNESCO:
Zamo¶æ is a unique example of a Renaissance town in Central Europe, consistently designed and built in accordance with the Italian theories of the "ideal town," on the basis of a plan which was the result of perfect cooperation between the open-minded founder, Jan Zamoyski, and the outstanding architect, Bernardo Morando. Zamo¶æ is an outstanding example of an innovative approach to town planning, combining the functions of an urban ensemble, a residence, and a fortress in accordance with a consistently implemented Renaissance concept. The result of this is a stylistically homogeneous urban composition with a high level of architectural and landscape values. A real asset of this great construction was its creative enhancement with local artistic architectural achievements.

Eh bien, cette forteresse est particulièrement imposante, et semble infranchissable depuis l'extérieur comme de l'intérieur (vraisemblablement). Un monstre architectural. Les petites fleurs jaunes égaient l'ensemble.

This is really what you call: a fortress.
You can imagine the situation here when it was used by a battalion of the army.
You lovely picture gives a good idea of the building.

Hello Krzysztof,
This building looks hard and formidable, not built for comfort but for defence.
Your viewpoint emphasises the its long, low lines with the repeating small small windows.
It's a fine composition, the right angle of the two walls right on the thirds line.

A fine panoramic photo of the impressive fortress. The composition is perfectly divided into three sections of blue, dark red and green. The yellow flowers adorn the grass beautifully.

The fortress out of an other angle with all the narrow windows.
Also pleasant the yellow wild flowers in foreground are pleasant to look at.
You choose a very well angle, this create depth and perspective.

Nice repetition of the yellow flowers which add warm cold color contrasts against the blue sky augmented by the red fort facades. Excellent sharpness and the grassy roof is unusual. Tfs!
