Cathedral. St. Peter and Paul

Church goes back to his assumption of the twelfth century. Mentioned for the first time in a document from 1208 years. In the thirteenth century there was already a brick church. St. Peter. Current was built between 1333-1380, and maintained around 1,341 years by the Bishop of Wroclaw, formerly of Krakow, Nankera. In the years 1892-1894 have been reconstructed in the spirit of the church doktrynersko neotyku understood. Following the decision of Pope John Paul II on changes in the administrative division of the Roman Catholic Church in Poland in March 1992 the church was elevated to the dignity of the Diocese of Legnica Cathedral. Construction of the church is rich in historic fittings and architectural details.

Deserve special attention:
- Gothic stone sculptures in the portals of the entrances to the church, depicting the Virgin Mary with Child Jesus

and Adoration of the Magi
- Bronze font of the sculptural composition, with 12 pages of the life of Christ, the implementation of which is dated to the beginning of the thirteenth century
- 5 Gothic stone statues depicting the Apostles
- Tombstone carved figularnymi couples duke Louis II (d. 1436) and his wife Elizabeth Brandeburskiej (d. 1449)
- Renaissance stone pulpit dating from the years 1586 - 1588
- Baroque organ
- Many epitaphs, derived his scheme from the Renaissance tradition
- Baroque altar by the sculptor works in Germany Krystian Grönewalda.
