Trzcianka - town of Wielkopolska's region

The Wiktor Stachowiak Museum of the Netze District
The classical building of the W. Stachowiak Museum of the Netze District is one of the few architectural landmarks of Trzcianka. It represents an urban manor house erected between 18th and 18th century, marked by an arcaded, columned entrance. It was known as the "mayor's house", which reflected its purpose. Since its erection in mid-19th century it served as an official residence of the town's mayor. The building also housed sessions of the town council. In 1854 the town hall was moved to another place and since then the building has had solely residential use. The year 1971 was the year when the decision on converting the building into Trzcianka museum was mode. Today it is one of the two institution's buildings hosting a permanent exhibition dedicated to the history of Trzcianka and its surroundings.
