Photographer's Note
From a bike trip.
A restored post mill from 1820 in village Sobótka.
The post mill is the earliest type of European windmill. Its defining feature is that the whole body of the mill that houses the machinery is mounted on a single vertical post, around which it can be turned to bring the sails into the wind.
Me managed to peek inside.
As a fan of the old technique, I was impressed.
Sobótka is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Ostrów Wielkopolski, within Ostrów Wielkopolski County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, in west-central Poland. It lies approximately 20 kilometres north-east of Ostrów Wielkopolski.

Hello Krzysztof,
I slept a bit longer than expected this morning. I'm sorry for being late. ;-)
The thumbnail looked very peculiar but interesting, and it is still interesting to see the large picture. It is a fascinating machinery and it is beautifully designed. I understand that you were impressed and that you were happy to manage a photo.
Best regards,
Gert

Witaj Krzysztof,
It's not a very picturesque photograph but it is a very interesting photograph! WE have been into a lot of windmills, both in this country and the Netherlands, and I was fascinated how the turning of a huge wheel could transfer power via a series of smaller wheels.
It wasn't easy to capture this but it is sharp and shows good depth.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Krzysztof,
The point of view is showing the details of the mechanism of the interior of the windmill. The surrounding light is giving nice tints to the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Krzysztof, sometimes in mills such as this, the lighting can be very difficult, but here we can see all the mechanisms very clearly.
The obvious use of wood is very apparent.
Thanks for sharing, kind regards, Jean.

Ciao Krzysztof,
It seems that some of the wooden structures have at some stage been sprayed with a greenish chemical to prevent insects and water damage. I forget the name of the chemical. But it smells terrible if the wood is ever burned. Lets hope that never happens here. It's rare to see machinery made from wood rather than metal. Tfs!

Hi Krzysztof
A good shot from this mill showing its charming old machinery that I always find this fascinating. A composition full of interest, I love the detail of the gear wheel and other complementary things and the way you have only selected part of what was in front of you. Perfect in colour, only thing missing is a nice crusty loaf to end with....
Best regards
