This picture shows a once very popular place in Warsaw, a 19th century building which was used as an old-style shopping center, located on Koszykowa Street. Due to relaxed and ambigous planning laws it was possible to demolish the existing structure. The end result will be an oversized and plain (to use a moderate word) curtain walling hiding all the precious features inside.
This development faced a strong opposition in the area due to its popularity among inhabitants and students in this area.
The whole development is being done quietly, without media attention. One day it'll be gone.
