Photographer's Note
Marie Curie (Marie Skłodowska Curie nee Maria Salomea Skłodowska) was born in Warsaw in 1867 and died from radiation (aplastic anaemia) connected with her research, in 1934. This wall mural illustrates the 2 elements she discovered, polonium (named after Poland) & Radium.

Hello Chris, Nice picture from Warsaw New City :). But there is an error, she was born in 1867 :). Good composition and colours. Six years have passed since your visit :).

Hi Chris,
Quite impressive science related mural painted on this old building. Clear colours look good. But Radium and Polonium evaporating on a hand of a baby does not feel a very good idea.

Bonjour, cher Chris,
Ces fresques rendent joliment hommage à cette grande dame.
Des images mieux perçues par les jeunes.
Très bien.
Amitiés.

Hello Chris,
She was a well known and well celebrated lady, how good that this house is made so obvious, rather than just a memorial plaque.
You have cropped the scene well, to include just the important elements, which are bright and sharp.
Thank you for the information; I had no idea polonium was named after Poland.
Have a good w/e,
Bev :-)

Hi Chris,
I studied chemistry in Poland, and I work as a scientist so Marie Curie is sort of close to my heart. Ironically I have visited her tomb in Pantheon in Paris but not the place where she was born in Poland. I was a recipient of a Marie Curie Fellowship which is probably the most prestigious fellowship people can get in Europe.
This is a lovely commemoration of this important scientist. I must visit it someday!

Hello Chris,
A very remarkable mural referring to science.
It makes a lot of sense. Still, I had no idea that polonium was named after her country.
A graceful and very colourful facade in Warsaw as a commemoration.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Chris,
A good sharp photo taken under good even light. I am surprised that a baby is shown holding a test tube full of deadly radioactive elements. The elements are both solids, so I don't know what the vapour or smoke represents. And the cartoon characters holding the element symbols are completely baffling. Did the artist have any actual knowledge of Marie Curie and her work?

chris
a nice mural and informative showing the discoveries of this great scientist. I am not sure if this kind of beautiful façade is the best place to put such mural, usually artists use blind façades or ugly ones for that.
take care

Hello Chris.
A fantastic photo, with this painting on the facade of the house, which makes a great tribute to Marie Curie, also on the street that bears her name. I guess it's the house where she was born.
Very nice coloring, in some very attractive tones.
Good brightness management and magnificent sharpness.
Very well done. My congratulations.
All the best and have a good start to the week.
Luis.

Hello Chris,
I like this creative and colorful art. This older building is also attractive, and I like that the window in the middle is open, too. Nice capture. :-)
