Photographer's Note

The ruins of Tenczyn Castle in Rudno are located some 40km west of Kraków City of Poland.

Built at the beginning of the 14th century by the wealthy Tenczynski family, the castle remained a private residence until the 18th century. In the course of several wars, this beautiful Gothic and Renaissance structure was heavily damaged. After being deserted at the end of the 18th century it slowly fell to ruin. Its magnificent bastions still stand at the top of a hill.
