Photographer's Note

I have showed you previously two photos from Lagiewniki. It is famous for the tomb of St. Faustyna who designed the world famous painting “Jesus I trust in you”.
Recently Lagiewniki became also infamous for another reason.

I am not sure if everybody is aware of it, but Catholic church does not allow divorces. You marry only once and forever. That is why in the end King Henry VIII decided to split from the church because the Pope did not want to annul his multiple marriages. Divorce per se is not allowed, however in special circumstances the marriage may be annulled. This may be for example possible if a person is mentally sick and cannot be responsible for its actions or decisions. As you imagine this interpretation opens a lot of possibilities for people who would like to bend the law.

You may have heard about the present-day conservative government in Poland, some of their actions have benefited the society, while other are quite controversial. It is obvious that Hollywood is for example predominantly in favour of the Democratic party in the USA. Most of media around the world is liberal which leads to suppression of certain discussion topics in public sphere and results in ridiculous situations like Brexit. Present day government in Poland claimed that the media in Poland are one-sided liberal, and that was true indeed. What they did now however is they took over the public TV and they turned it to the other extreme. I cannot watch public TV when I am in Poland because it is so manipulative that it hurts my brain. The manipulation is very much obvious for a person with an average intelligence. The person in charge of the public media transformation is Mr. Kurski. He became infamous at one of the elections by spreading false news about another candidate. Now he oversees the public TV.

Mr. Kurski divorced his first wife in 2015 after 24 years of marriage. At that time, they had three children. In 1999 their family was blessed by Pope John Paul II himself. Working in the public TV he met his next wife Ms. Klimek. The couple in love took a civil wedding in July 2018, according to media reports, just a few weeks after Klimek's divorce. THEY BOTH GOT THEIR PREVIOUS CATHOLIC MARRIAGES ANNULLED. 18 July 2020, four days before I took this photo, Mr. Kurski and Ms. Klimek had a Catholic wedding in this very church in Lagiewniki.
