Photographer's Note

I think many of you have seen the painting of Jesus with white and red rays coming from his heart and with the inscription “Jesus, I trust in you”. It is called the Divine Mercy image. If you have good eye you can spot it in the center of my photograph. The image was invented by the Polish nun, Saint Faustina Kowalska (1905-1938). Sister Faustina had visions of Jesus who instructed her to design a painting like this. She didn’t paint it herself but she explained her visions and several versions of the painting were created in the result. Her tomb is located in Kraków-Łagiewniki. In this photo you can see interior of the church built recently next to the smaller old church on the site.
