Krakow - a city situated on the Vistula River in southern Poland, the second in the country in terms of population and in terms of area. It is one of the oldest Polish cities with over a thousand years of history, has a valuable architectural objects, works on many of the institutions and cultural institutions that collect priceless monuments. Until 1795, Krakow was the Polish capital until 1611, the seat of Polish kings.

Market Place - a huge, major city square, was laid out when the city of Magdeburg law in 1257th It was created at the intersection of ancient trade routes, in a square with sides slightly exceeding 200 m.

Market Oriented give special importance cherished for decades (sometimes centuries), annual events related to local traditions.

Although the reconstruction of the Cloth Hall and Market arrangement was primarily designed to change the face of a more representative fair, trade could not be here eventually eliminated. Until the mid-twentieth century in the traditional market days - Tuesday and Friday - from the Szewska street stretched dairy-poultry market, including varied wide range of padlocks offered by locksmiths and products imported by local carpenters. On the other side of the Cloth Hall was sold only flowers and fruits, to the derogation of the Easter market and market of Christmas trees.
