Photographer's Note

This is my very first post on trekearth, although I've discovered this site a good few months ago. The reason is obviously a lack of time and therfore I'll be posting next pics rather rarely but hope to get better:)

The shot presents view from Babia Gora (1725 m) to the south-west during inversion and a beautiful sunset. Peak of Pilsko massif (1557 m) is visible emerging from the clouds.

Babia Gora is the highest peak of Beskid Zywiecki mountain range which is (almost) the westernmost part of the outer Carpathia mountains.

I shot the picture while skitouring in the massif. Babia Gora is almost a perfect place for this kind of winter activity. A few marked trails of different difficulty lead to its top from every direction, including northern alpine-style Akademicka Perc trail, which is however closed in winter due to avalanche danger.
