Photographer's Note
There's a very interesting museum in Tønsberg - Vestfold County Museum.
The exhibits present Vestfold's cultural history through, amongst other things, the use of natural resources both at home and abroad. Emphasis has been laid on the whaling industry, shipping, town and village history, and the second world war.
It situated at the foot of Slottsfjellet with the ruins of the medieval castle, Tunsberghus, and includes a rare Viking ship - the Klastad, which was built about A.D. 800. The longship is very impressive. And it smelled of sea water on that hot summer day.
