Photographer's Note
Another old photo taken in 1984 while on my way to Bergen. This building is an extension of a railway station. It houses several bars, gift shop, restaurant, and maybe has accommodation too. Located about midway between Oslo & Bergen. I hope somebody can identify the exact location. For now I'm listing it under Bergen.
The ride between Oslo & Bergen is truly one of the best if not the best railway ride one could take. Spectacular & dramatic sceneries all the way through. I highly recommend this ride to Bergen if you happen to be in Oslo. It passes through many rustic & quaint timbered tunnels (if I'm not mistaken). The construction of the railway was itself a historic engineering achievement for its time. Thanks for looking.
PP: Cloned out mold spots & scratch marks mostly in the sky (photo was scanned from negative). Played with level but it would not come out right. Very little post processing was done except for small s-curve adjustment & sharpening. I actually reduced the contrast to bring back the atmosphere of the original scan.

Hi Latiff,
it´s not true ;D the wagon with its little chimneys doesn´t fit into the house ?
Anyway, amazing, nice idea to get off the train directly into a warm room.
Good one, christian

Hi Latiff,
at first, congratulations for posting this very old picture. I think there is some kind of romantism hidden in those film photos. Your scan work is really good. Very difficult to get the result you present in here. Take a look at the ws I've made. I hope you like it. Well done!

Carlos

Assalamualaikum Latiff,
Its a long way back to the day you shot this. This is surely bringing memories of the 'tougher' and 'costlier' photography days. I am thankful to start serious learning on beauty of photography in these digital days...
Please accept my apology that I cannot comment much about the shot, since I am really a beginner, and photojournalism was a big, big thing in my learning process. I am still trying my best to learn to see and understand why and how a shot be a good shot. :) Simple thing I understand, I love beautiful shots... and this shot is one of them. I liked this, Latiff especially with the great note to complement it.
Salam,
Ramdan.

Hey Latiff,
A great photo, meaningful and special. You dont get to see something like this every day. Very nicely composed. Its also has that nostalgic, oldie feeling to it.
Enjoy

Hi Latiff. Excellent perspective and sharpness of this architecture. I like the way the coach has been utilized here. Good light and shadow and thanks for sharing. Regards. Jusni
