Photographer's Note
This is taken only 5 minutes of walking away from my house in Lade, a part of the city Trondheim. It's a half island where there is a path running through the forest along the sea, and this is up on one of the cliffs wich are popular for climbing. It was such a strong wind yesterday evening (23.00) and I had to grab the tripod and put my weight on it to make it stand still a little. This exposure is of 16 sec to eliminate all the small shivers made by the wind, and to get the wind patterns in the water to create the lines into to the island Munkholmen. Munkholmen is by the word Munk(=monk), and it once was a "temple" (cluster?). It also have been a prison but now it's a place for leisure and swimming. In the summer there's boats taking you there.

it is amazing..beautiful...all blue yet lots of details and scenery is there...I can even see citylights in depth of blue...thanks..

superb technique terje! i read with great delight the name Trondheim for this is where my friend's family came from and the place where i spent some time when i was 19... it was last century;-) lol
i like the effect of the wind given by your speed choice. BTW what made you choose 16secs rather than 30 or 10? can you tell me more technical tips on how to get the right exposure time using the bulb feature???

Very very nice shot. I love the effect of the wind on the water, and the colours of the sky melting on the sea.

I can feel the wind and the chill, seeing this picture! What an amazing blue, I like how the water & wind guide my eyes to the back of this composition. I also think that the thick frame you used is lifting the picture is even more. This is a favourite!

Hi Terje, beautiful picture of the water, it looks so soft here, actually. You can see the wind going over the water. Looks freezing! Nice place to live!
