Photographer's Note
What intrigues me about the Norwegian coastline is the close juxtapositon of the elements: earth (farmland), water (fjord), air (mountain) and even the fire of midnight sun. This was not taken during the night hours, and the effect of the Gulf Stream made this west coast location seem almost as warm as Nova Scotia. But it may be possible that the center of this universe isn't a house itself. It could be what Grieg wrote about in connection with his Lyric Piece, Op. 43: "What would you say to a quiet morning in the boat, or out between the skerries and the cliffs?"
