Photographer's Note
This great view turned to be one of the most challenging pictures I took while touring the Lofotens.
When I spotted it from the rear window of the car, there was absolutely no way to stop because of intense traffic on this curvy and dangerous road. There were no pockets in the vicinity, and dense vegetation was blocking the view elsewhere. I knew that a correct framing deserved some time. The landscape was rich in nice details indeed, a forest, two lakes, and the typical Lofoten peaks in the background way out on the sea..
So after making three U turns, I decided to do something I hated ,simply stop on the right side, put the blinkers on and take a couple of minutes for the picture, while all cars simply waited patiently without showing signs of impatience or horning, as they would have done in many other places I know.

Hi Izzet,
Beautiful landscape composition, rich in color. Rocks are well reflected in the lake in the foreground image. It looks as if the rocks speak of a nebulous haze. Breathtaking scenery, well-made addition to the photo.

Hello Izzet,
a splendid view with the contrasting elements of peaks, sea and forest as they can only be found at the Lofoten. Beautiful warm light, the different layers in your picture creating a perfect sense for the depth.
Best wishes,
Katrin.

Hi Izzet.
Great note with your story of how you took this magnificent shot. I know just how frustrating it can be when you are on a very busy road and you know that to stop would be very difficult. But in this case it was worth it to risk being very unpopular. Such a superb view across the fjord, and with the great depth of the foreground trees and lake to the very distant mountains on th right. Lovely light and shadows on that rocky mountain.
Regards,
Andrew

Bonjour Izzet,

It is always a pleasure to "read" a rich picture. This is no exception. As you rightly put, the details on many different spots of the composition are worth a praise. Reflection on a tiny part of the inner lake, the distant summits add to the overall beauty.
Finally, your notes are an additional pleasure. They add the mood which lack in so many other presentations.

Hello Izzet,
Your engaging note gives the lovely photograph additional value. The rugged peaks, and the foreground vegetation stand as counterpoints to each other. I am surprised that so much traffic exists in this area, but I am not surprised by the behavior of the Norwegians to be patient and allow you to pause for a minute. In Souther California, in New York, in Southern Florida where life seems to push along at a frenzied pace, road rage would overcome people after three seconds. They would scream obscenities after five seconds, and hidden weapons would emerge after 30 seconds.
Warm regards, Izzet.

Hi Izzet!
That's such a wonderful natural location indeed!
I love the shapes of the mountains, specially in the background and the green vegetation, lakes and reflections ini the lower foreground!
Exposure, natural colors, pp, contrasts, chosen pov, horizontal format and composition are all excellent! Much better too, dof and level of sharpness!
Great place! Great photo!
TFS - congrats!
Have a very good week,
