Photographer's Note

From Aalesund, in the nice season (which start officially on April 15th), the Hurtigruten route goes to Geiranger, through about 100 km of beautiful fjords, particularly beautiful in this season with the snow glowing under the sun.
Here is a view of Storfjorden from one of the boat side's deck (the port side).
The Storfjorden is rather large and is the first fjord that the route takes before turning to the Geiranger fjord, where the landscape becomes more and more narrow. This picture was actually taken on the way back to Aalesund, after reaching Geiranger.

Such fjords are fairly active: there are many small cities on the fjord banks, and in this particular area there is an important furniture industry (that has existed for a long time).

[I'm not sure about the exact point on the map, although I'm sure it is the right fjord, and roughly the right spot. You might want to zoom out to see the map correctly].
