Photographer's Note
The Hurtigruten ships go from Bergen to Kirkenes and back in eleven days, and is active every day of the year. So there is a ship leaving Bergen every day, and eleven ships are somewhere on the route at all time. When you are aboard one of the ship, you cross everyday another ship going in the opposite direction.
It's an important moment of the day, on each ship the passengers wave (with their hands or with sheets and tableclothes) and the ships blow their horns to salute.
Here, an hour after crossing the Arctic Circle, on the northbound route, the M/S Lofoten meets the M/S Finnmarken, southbound (about an hour before we actually reach Ørnes).
The "Post" flag indicates that the ship is officialy acknowledged to transport the mail between the different cities.

J'aime beaucoup cette photo telle qu'elle est cadrée avec ce pavillon médian et ce sillage.

eh bien Sophie, je m'aperçois que j'ai manqué tes photos, pas facile.. j'aime beacoup le sillon laissé par le bateau, et ce drapeau qui flotte au vent, même pas flou.. ouah! et les fjords tout au loin, une très belle photo, bravo

This is a perfect example of how a certain major element of a photograph, in this case the flag pole, is exactly centered and cuts the photo in half and it works beautifully. I like the placement of the passing ship as the subject of the photograph, yet it is handled as a kind of afterthought. Very well done, Sophie!

Very nice picture of the norwegian sea! Great POV where the postflag is well centered and gives a sort of symmetrie. Great objects in the background, the ship crossing your ferry and the snowy mountains on the horizon. Lovely to see Norway in the spring! Good job! Regards Florian

Bien vu ce cadrage. Il y a une symétrie presque parfaite, avec cet autre bateau sur le côté qui décentre le ragard. C'est très élégant.

Une jolie symétrie de l'arrière du bateau, j'aime bien regarder les traces laissées par les navires, ça provoque chez moi une certaine sensation...
Une atmosphère de froid se dégage à cause des montagnes enneigées à l'arrière-plan. Bonne idée d'avoir saisi le bateau partant dans l'autre sens.

Un point de vue original avec le sillage de ton bateau qui vient d coriser son homologue qui s'éloigne. Bonne netteté, mais tonalité toujours dans les gris-bleu : c'est la lumière ou ai-je l'impression que tes photos ont tendance à tirer vers le bleu ?

J'aime beaucoup. Bien pensé d'avoir centré le pavillon de la poste et l'arrière du bateau. Le M/S finnmarken vient briser ce qui serait trop symétrique sinon. J'adore

Voilà, j'avais bien localisé la rencontre avant de lire la note ;) Décidément, tu m'apprends des trucs aujourd'hui : qui corne en premier ? je ferai attention la prochaine fois... Si c'est le plus ancien, vous n'avez dû laisser la politesse qu'au MS Nordstjernen du côté d'Havøysund
