Stormy weather... I just love the light on those days!
Old in 2003 - New will be 2004 - Old is this tower - New is this storm-surge barrier.
"Koudekerke" was once a village that has desappeared after the huge surge in 1953, and the only building left was the Plompe Toren/Tower, overlooking the Oosterschelde.
It is situated on the small road, the Plompetorenweg, on top of the western dike of my island Schouwen-Duiveland, having Zierikzee in your back and looking towards Burgh-Haamstede at your right hand, and the Eastern Scheldt storm-surge barrier, part of the Delta Works, on your left...
You can visit the all project and the museum on Neeltje Jans.

Peut etre un peu trop de ciel à mes yeux mais sans cette hauteur de ciel on ne verras pas les couleur du ciel .
Alors reduire la terre ? Non car la route porte la photo !
Pas facile comme dilemme.
La proposition de photo est courageuse car effectivement ca change des ciels bleu parfait et de gros nuages blanc.
Que vaudrait cette photo avec un ciel bleu ? Pas grand chose car elle ferais oublier le drame qu'a connu cette region.
Bravo moi j'aime bien la photo tel qu'elle est .

Eclairage dramatique, quoique un peu sombre. Un N&B était plus adapté pour cet endroit sinistré en 1953.
Le ciel à un peu trop influencé la cellule de votre appareil. Votre commentaire est intéressant et je commence à bien situer votre secteur.
J'ai quand-même effectué un WS.

I like your "wysiwyg"-photo very much, also J. Brel and the idea of old/new.
Passed that way so by storm as also by sunshine, but didn't know the story about the tower.

Gefeliciteerd, dit is Zeeland zoals ik het ken. Congratulations, this is Zeeland as I know it. You can feel the chill and the humidity.

The road and the fence lead us in to the picture. A fine setting of elements and soft colours works well in your composition Viviane.

Superb perspective you chose here. And you conveyed very well the stormy atmosphere. That's a nice composition with few but strong elements. I believe Didi's cropping is quite appropriate for this kind of shot as it enhances the perspective effects. But I would rather keep your original tones which are softer. Really nice shot !
