Photographer's Note
Teylers Museum
Here is another picture from my home- and birth town Haarlem, which I took last week on a bright day.
It shows you two famous buildings in my city: in the background de Grote of Sint Bavokerk (Big or Saint Bavo Church) and het Teylers Museum in the foreground.
Het Teylers Museum is the oldest public museum of The Netherlands. It is a natural history museum and hosts a collection of fossils, minerals, historical scientific elements and works of art.
The museum was founded with money from the legacy of Pieter Teyler van der Hulst (1702-1778) and designed in 1779 by Leendert Viervant.
It is located on the bank of the river het Spaarne and also seen on another picture of mine.
Information and pictures about de Grote Kerk can be seen in my Haarlem Theme.
I rotated this picture and added contrast.
Hope you like it!

Hi Lars,
Mooie, ongebruikelijke compositie. Alles werkt mee op deze foto. De kleuren, de zon en de mooie blauwe lucht. Alleen de wind waait van de verkeerde kant.

Hi Lars. Well it looks like your "real Dutch weather" was more cooperative for better lighting here! But what a wind you must have had to get the flag to flap like that. But that's just what you want in a shot like this. I think the sharpness is just about right. It seems like the colors are richly saturated too. Impressive shot Lars!

Hi Lars, A very well composed photo. The blue sky makes a very nice contrast to the buildings. I think the church in the back ground looks familiar :D I like the color, contrast and sharpness.

Prachtig werk opnieuw!

Hi, Lars, you have given us a lot to look at here. The sculptures at the top of the museum and also the phenomenal steeple on the cathedral beyond. Great sharpness and exposure. Well done indeed.
Best,

Hi Lars - the architecture is charming and the weather looks so delightful and unusual for northern europe. I like the bulbous crown of the belltower, but they should remove that Museum flag.

Great shot, Lars. I like dynamic tone to the scene with the flag obviously flapping. The sharpness and colours are pleasing and the scene is well composed. The architectural objects are most interesting here and a feast for the eyes. Regards. John.

Hej Lars,
Very good approach composition of this old Museum, with nice details to observe and a general good balance of the elements presented. It's nice to see the tower of the cathedral in the background and I like the motion of the flag. Excellent clear image with fine colours, lighting and sharpness.

Hello Lars,
Fabulous view upon the museum facade, POV upwards in order to include the tower and statue on higher level.
Distinct sight of the magnificent art-elements, where the flag, roof-tiles on side and trees added the missing tones on the scene.
Have a nice new day,
Ike

Pozdrav.
Lepa fasada, detalji i skulpture na krovu, dobro pokazano sa lepim bojama, kontrastom i dobrim tekstom.
Lepa stara arhitektura i toranj sa satom u pozadini.
Zelim vam sve najbolje.
