Thank you very much for your visit.

Dear friends of TE, I must always back to my archive through my long disease, I cannot to the city or the nature.

History of the picture:
Aardenburg is a very small town, located three kilometres from the Belgian border, near the Flemish cities of Ghent and Bruges and not far from the Zeeland and Flemish coast. The earliest traces of habitation dating from 6,500 years ago. Roman, medieval and 17th century fortifications, centuries of habitation and the high location on a Pleistocene sand ridge of the bottom Aardenburg one big archaeological heritage and beautiful natural surroundings where life is good.
Zeeland Flanders landscape has been shaped by centuries of flooding and attempts to restore the land back in to reclaim and herpolderen. Traces of military activity in the past 2,000 years are still visible in some places. The rest in this beautiful country of dikes, polder roads, creeks and remains of fortifications invites to make long bike rides.
In the Archaeological Museum are on display many treasures from the rich history and visit the more than 1000 years old Saint Bavo church is an experience in itself.
In the old town, largely located on the medieval street plan, its many 16th, 17th and 18th century to admire facades.
Besides the almost tangible history display galleries, studios and art & deco affairs Aardenburg something special and also culinary and culturally to offer something Aardenburg.
