In this well composed shot, informed by an informative, albeit short note, you provide a very good recommendation, "If you like canals, but find Amsterdam too crowded, I can recommend this city." I have visited Amsterdam several times, but have not reached the point that would allow me to skip the Rijksmuseum or the Rembrandt House, I will definitely Oudewater.

hello Gerard ,
My grand mother had a little farm with only three cows , and she used this kind of milk churns . i've several of them from my in-laws who had a bigger farm ; for sure , not used since a few decades . I still use them to water my kitchen garden . As we can see in this park , they are very decorative .

Hello Gerard,
you are right to propose Oudewater for a quiet, sfeervol visite, it is far underrated by tourists, that may be the reason why only five pictures of this cute little town have been submitted on Trekearth by now.
Did you control your camera or editing tools, on this photo I see something quite disturbing on the right side: every little stone seems to be doubled.

Standing with the history....
these still life were part of the every day scene then but probably forgotten by now. I wonder why these old canisters are there in the first place however they do fit this in context of this historic place. On the negative points I find the background is cluttered as can be seen, the bench tends to distract the focus away from main subject and shallower dof will address this. This is my sincere opinion hopefully acceptable to you. Well done, Congrats

Uw laatste foto heb ik willen nemen omdat het onderwerp niet foto waardig was, maar dit zijn keuzes van ieder mens
Deze is veel beter qua onderwerp en inhoud, de oude melk reservoirs en de bank is heel gezellig om naar te kijken
Gerard, ik werk al meer dan zestigjaar met foto's, en perfect is voor het hier namaals
Maar we doen samen ons best.
