Photographer's Note

A study in geometry today, after a "human face" of my last upload. Just want my posts to be as different from each other as possible, to prevent my gallery from being boring. Here we see the glass celing of the Spui passage in the centre of The Hague, 100m from the Binnenhof complex shown on two of my recent posts. The passage was built in 1880s in Neo-Renaissance style. It is an indoor shopping street, a vogue originated in Paris at the end of the 19th century. Similar passages can be found in several European cities, including Brussels and Milan.

The shot was made in the afternoon of a very dark rainy day. I converted to sepia and increased contrast a bit to cope with the light and to highlight the architectural details better. No crop.
