Photographer's Note
In the same village as the Ruïne van Brederode, Santpoort, you can find this mill, called de Zandhaas (which literally means Sandhare). I've obviously got a nose for working mills I think, cos just as Molen de Veer, this mill was at work when I took a picture.
This corn-mill you can see here was built in 1779, but already in 1329, there has probably been a mill in Santpoort, the first drawings of this old mill date from 1515.
I cropped the picture a bit, used Neat-Image and added a frame.
Hope you like it.

Excellente idée que de ne pas avoir conservé tout le moulin dans la photo et de nous en offrir une partie qui affiche une jolie composition géomètrique bien colorée et nette.

Very nicely done Lars, honestly. You have real feeling for mills. Go this way by!

Strong lines, Lars. Sharpness is great, textures of the mill, too. But there are some distraction pixels to the upper yellow racks, what happened? Jpg-compression?
Two thumbs up for the compo.

Nice picture.
I like the contrast between the dark lines and the light sky. The dark frame is nice.

Nice shot Lars, I like the close up perspective, in most cases photos of mills are taken from distance, but this one is different, details are more visible. Nice contrast between the mill and the grey sky. Well captured!

certainement pas aisé de ne prendre que les ailes, bien rendu, bonne idée, image très nette, la texture des ailes se distingue nettement et contraste sur la couleur des murs
bien vu

Hard to get an original view of this subject Lars, but I think you've done it here with this extremely close crop. It's a sharp image, but the all the edges look slightly OoF, can't quite understand why.

A fine close view of that old mill - it even seems to be tacked with straw. Thanks for sharing this one - I actually got some mill photos which I never posted - better consider - thanks for the links and note to give us the surroundings.

Waarom de rouwrand? Dit is niet de rouwstand. Dat moet je weten als voormalig molenbewonderaar.

The arms of the mill are perfectly placed covering the two diagonals. Nice colour composition of the dark mill and the grey-blue sky.

Very nice framing of the mill. I like the way you’ve shown just a detail against what’s usual to be shown, the whole building, because here we can clearly appreciate the structures and textures of it. Very nice colors and details.

Avond' Lars, Afgeknipte vleugels geeft een reuze effect. Mooie precisie, zekers voor een draiiende molen.

Nice photo Lars! i like how you have zoomed in to the windmill, woudl be interesting to see the windmill from a bit far back btu I dont think the photo woudl be as pleasing.
I really like windmills, especially older traditional ones like this! Amazing how it is still standing!
Well done!

Hello Lars,
Continuing my visit to your extensive gallery, bettween bycicles, windmills, bridges and buildings it is hard to choose one from lots of great shots, that you have.
This is a superb composition, that automatically got my attention! Usually we try to capture all the mill, but your crop is very well suceeded. Nicely manage with the motion - you got it in the right position. I love the expressive surface of the mill and the grey sky. Very good sharpeness, as well. A strong image, very well suceeded. Congratulations!
Have a nice friday,
Ricardo

Lars, le graphisme que font les ailes du moulin est des plus intéressants. Les couleurs et la netteté sont aussi au rendez-vous.
