Photographer's Note

Warawara is the name in Papiamentu for this mighty bird that flies around large parts of the America's. Papiamentu is the language spoken on the ABC-islands (Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao) 60 km north of the coast of Venezuela and formerly belonging to the Netherlands Antilles. Nowadays Aruba and Curacao are both independent countries within the kingdom of the Netherlands while Bonaire is a town in the Netherlands.
The Warawara (Caracara cheriway) is called the northern crested caracara in English and is a large member of the Falcon family.
