The Bay of Kotor is a winding bay of the Adriatic Sea in southwestern Montenegro.
The bay has been inhabited since antiquity. Its well-preserved medieval towns of Kotor, Risan, Tivat, Perast, Prčanj and Herceg Novi, along with their natural surroundings, are major tourist attractions. Natural and Culturo-Historical Region of Kotor has been a World Heritage Site since 1979.
Its numerous Orthodox and Catholic churches and monasteries make it a major pilgrimage site.

Hello Daniel,
On many pictures of the Boka Kotorska we spot cloudy skies. But yet your presentation is very clear and sharp. The colour of the water in the harbor is magnificent green.
Behind the modern yachts we can enjoy the view of the beautiful traditional architecture and directly beyond the buildings the steep rising mountain.
Almost hidden among the rocks on the hillside we discove a church (or a monastery). The views from there must be awesome.

Hello Daniel,
Kotor was the first place I saw in Montenegro, and of course I was immediately overwhelmed by the beauty of the town and the area. You have captured that well in this nicely composed photo with two well placed boats in the foreground and a good view of the waterfront and the mountains. The sharpness and colours are excellent.

A fine composition that makes good use of the the foreground boats as pointers towards the marina and town. Well exposed with pleasant natural tones and excellent clarity. The cloud shrouded mountain tops contribute to the mood.

Hello Daniel,
a rich composition within a narrow vertical frame that has great depth. I like how the scene starts with a tiny glimpse of the quay and proceeds through many lovely and interesting elements, ending with the high peaks and the thick clouds. The colours are lovely and moody, this place looks tranquil and delightful but there's a sense of drama in the atmosphere too. Congratulations and thank you!

I have just purchased flight tickets to Split for the next year :) I hope to be able to go down to Montenegro as well.
Beautiful spot here with the boats making lovely foreground and the high mountains being so close to the sea. Fantastic light and colors resulted in a mystical mood.
