Photographer's Note
I found the meticulously maintained, mature, magnificent, marvelous and manicured landscape of Monte Carlos casino esplanade to be almost as impressive as the casino itself. Whew, how was that for an adjective laden description? lol
Taking in the concept of photographing the photographer once again, I came across this young lady appearing to have as much fun as myself taking pictures. I wanted a few shots facing the opposite direction of the casino to show the impressive grounds that grace the well known attraction, and I was lucky enough to capture this moment of happiness. With a majority of lush green vegetation and concrete filling the space, I thought her red striped shirt was just the right burst of color to set her apart…and her expression just happens to fit in nicely with my recent theme of smiles. :)
Thanks for stopping by.

hello Jason,
You found many sophisticated adjectives to describe the Monte Carlo esplanade :). The girl seems really pleased with her photos. Amusing and nice view. But why she sits back to such splendid area around, with nice buildings, palms and fountain? probably no stairs on the other side, haha.
I was in Monte Carlo many years ago. I was stunned how many things they packed in the tiny area.
Have a great week

Hi Jason,
This is indubitably the most glorious, comprehensive and enlightening description of a place which I have ever read on TE! And, well, it don't look too bad at all in your picture either.
Seriously, this is a delightful scene, very nicely and pleasingly composed with the distant slightly out of focus backdrop of the sunlit buildings of Monte Carlo making a fine setting for your portrait of this happy young photographer. She looks as though she would be a girl with lots of fun and her red and white striped top certainly makes her stand out well in the foreground of this photograph.
Yes, Jason, people in pictures really can "lift" an image wonderfully well. Interestingly, there are some members here - and I'm thinking particularly of Gert (holmertz) - who rarely ever post pictures without people in them and he will rarely make comments on bland photographs which don't include some human interest.
Super!
Kind Regards,
John.
P.S. Do you think that this young lady has some nice photos of a grumpy old man with a camera?

Ciao Jason
potrebbe essere il cartello pubblicitario del fotografo felice.
Del resto si può comprendere il suo stato d'animo in un contesto così bello.
Ottimo scatto, simpatico e divertente, oltre che ben fatto.
Saluti

Hello Jason,
Your photos very often manage to combine a human presence and activities with the local environment in a way that I enjoy a lot. Too many people would have waited patiently for that women to get out of their way without realizing that she makes the photo worth while. The nice background is just a good bonus. This is a fine shot very much to my taste.
Kind regards,
Gert

How can anyone not be happy while in Monte-Carlo, Jason...
Nice photo of another photographer, from strreet level uphill's.
There is a majestic fountain, situated between the green bushs and palms - DOF a bit of a miss here, but that's a minor issue, the place is intriguing enough.

Ike

Bonjour Jason,
En effet les jardins du casino sont de toute beauté et valent bien quelques dizaines de photos. La jeune fille semble vraiment s'amuser avec sa caméra et probablement avec son sujet aussi.

Hello Jason,
I like the pictures of people taking photos a lot. It always makes me wonder how we look like spending ages trying to choose the right POV and waiting for this particularly good light. She looks more relaxed and seems to enjoy herself and be bothered very much by the result. Good for her! :-)))
I also like the settings very much and the summery atmosphere.
Thanks for sharing
Regards
Kamila

Hello Jason

Hello Jason,
A fabulous foto from the female, framed by fountains. Just couldn't resist!!!
I thought, at first that she was taking a 'selfie' but, in Monaco, there are some wonderful sites and sights! I remember seeing a yacht with a helicopter launch pad on the back! Sadly, that was before I became interested in photography!
The girl is a great extension for a theme of 'Smiles'. She is happiness personified. A fine focal image set against the grandeur of Monte Carlo's wealth.
Have a great day,
Bev :-)

Hi Jason
I don't think you got enough "M" adjectives into your note! lol We need a little bit more next time ok!
looking at this shot, I wonder if she would actually enjoy having a copy of her own - then again if you showed her after you took it she may think you're a total creep! lol
Us guys get that reputation you know!
Cool photo of the photographer, and i like that you filled the entire frame, no dead spaces.
see you around

Hello Jason,
You have finally found a photogenic face that does not intimidate the viewer. In very pleasant surroundings, too. A well composed, charming photo. The slightly out of focus fountain in the background is a refreshing detail.

Hello Jason,
this scene would seem indifferent to a passer by interested in the glamorous surroundings, it's great that you noticed it and framed it in such an effective way. The scene looks meaningful and intriguing, like part from a story (film). It's enticing to imagine what happened before and after this instant. The young lady is an interesting protagonist but I'm very curious about the character in the background. The setting is elegant and luscious, I like very much the smooth distinction of lit and shady areas, the colours are sweet and natural, evoking Mediterranean summer. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great evening,
Ourania

Hola my friend from the desert
First the capture
Great to found and place the girl as the main subject of the vertical capture, framed in a smart way by the palm at the left, at first view I believe it was an old selfie, lol, would be the first on TE
The full backgrown is plenty of details, to begin with, the fountain, a good mix of green and soft colors
From your note I noticed you enjoy the Monaco gardens, great place to wander and take photos
Well seen and taken
Maria from Rio de la Plata
Each time I saw your profile, I smile like this girl, there are times when there are more photos of France than the States
